Other Programs and Services:

Mentor Program -

The Youth First Texas Mentor Program matches trained adult volunteers with a GLBTQ youth to provide guidance, support and inspiration to the young adult. The Mentor Program establishes a "Big Brother/Sister" mentor type connection with a GLBTQ teen and provides a relationship of understanding, education, support and advocacy for youth. If you are a youth wanting to know more about the Mentor Program, or an adult interested in becoming a Mentor, contact Bob Miskinis at BobM@YouthFirstTexas.com and put "MENTOR" in the subject line.

Life Coaching-

The Youth First Texas Life Coaching program helps youth dealing with short term life skills issues such as obtaining or changing jobs; money or debt management; apartment or living changes; college preparations or application process; or any other short term issue. Matched with a professional Life Coach, the goal is to structure a program to help the youth manage and/or achieve certain issues or goals. If you are interested in talking to someone about this program, contact Bob Ivancic, LPC @ Bobi@YouthFirstTexas.com or call the center at 214.879.0400

Counseling and Case Management-

Youth First Texas will offer low cost to free counseling to youth and their families. There will be a full time professional social worker on staff to assist youth with various needs (e.g.: housing, financial, legal, etc.).
